General Construction Flower City Habitat for Humanity's mission is to bring partners together to build home-ownership, communities, and hope. Since 1984 we have built or renovated over 240 homes in Rochester, helping families achieve their dreams of home ownership and strengthening local neighborhoods. Flower City Habitat partners with low-income families to make home ownership possible. Partner families agree to Habitat's three foundational principals: a demonstrated need for adequate shelter, an ability to pay a no-profit mortgage or loan, and a willingness to partner with Habitat. Flower City Habitat for Humanity believe in 'a hand up not a hand out' families work sweat-equity hours and once they close on their home pay a no-profit mortgage.
